Mahashivratri 2024 date Puja Vidhi worship
On the day of Mahashivratri, wake up early in the morning, take bath and worship at the auspicious time only. On this day, worship is also done in all four hours of the night. But worshiping in Nishita Muhurta is most auspicious. Wear clean clothes for worship and meditate on Shiva and Parvati. Take a seat and sit. Place a stool in a clean place and spread a yellow cloth. Install the statue of Shiva and Parvati on the post.
You can also worship Shivalinga by going to the temple. First of all, anoint Shivling with Ganga water, raw milk, sugarcane juice, curd etc. Then light a ghee lamp and worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati as per the rituals.
Apply sandalwood tilak to Lord Shiva and offer him all the things like Belpatra, Bhang, Dhatura, flowers, sweets etc. Apply vermillion to Goddess Parvati and worship her. Also offer wedding items to Goddess Parvati. Now offer food to God and then perform Aarti of Lord Shiva. On this day, definitely chant the favorite mantras of Lord Shiva.
