With the aim of spiritual awakening, 1008 Kundiya Ashwamedh Mahayagya is going to be organized from 21 to 25 February in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai under the aegis of All World Gayatri Parivar. Preparations for this Mahayagya are in their final stages. 1008 ponds have been prepared for this grand event in the 240-acre Corporate Park grounds located in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. This Mahayagya will start with Kalash Yatra on 21st February. For this, Kalash has been installed in 11,000 houses across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane region. On February 21, the women of these houses along with their families will gather at Kharghar Cricket Ground carrying these urns. Then the women dressed in yellow clothes will reach Yagya Bhoomi by taking out Mangal Kalshayatra about five kilometres away. away

More than 20,000 people are likely to participate in this Kalash Yatra. Besides, tableaux of great men like Chhatrapati Shivaji and Sambhaji will also be included in the yatra. Vedic rituals and Yagya will start in the morning on 22nd February. After the beginning of the Yagya, three to four couples will sit at each pond and offer oblations on Gayatri Mantra, Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, mantras for awakening Rishi tradition, mantras for environmental protection and mantras for making the nation strong and prosperous.
These yogas, which will last for four days, will be conducted and chanted by 30 fully trained women and 30 men. It is estimated that 12 tonnes of havan material will be used in this yagya. This havan material is made by mixing 32 types of herbs. In the Samidha prepared in this way, no food is used and the offerings are made only with the ghee of the local cow.
Parmanand Dwivedi says that this is the 49th Mahayagya being organized by the Gayatri family. According to Dwivedi, the Gayatri family, under the leadership of Dr. Pranab Pandya, is also making efforts to awaken values in Indian families and the new generation through these Mahayagyas.
